One of the things we look for when booking a hotel is its location. There’s nothing more convenient than a hotel with great location, a stone’s throw away from attractions and good restaurants. This is exactly what Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui is all about. Occupying levels 3 to 24 of K11 Art Mall, it has direct access to Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsim Sha Tsui East MTR stations.
Both a business and tourist district, Tsim Sha Tsui has the highest concentration of hotels in Hong Kong. It’s where locals and tourists go to shop, dine, and explore parks and museums. Yes, it’s in this area where we stayed for one night, our last night in Hong Kong.
Our suite on the 23rd floor is a Regency Suite Harbour View. With extensive views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island, it features a master bedroom with a king bed. There is a small office desk by the window overlooking the harbour and a telly on the other end. As we are traveling a la honeymoon, Hyatt Regency tailored our suite to our needs! On the bed were pink rose petals and swan towels. Dexter said they were dragons.
The bathroom was spacious and elegant, with a walk-in shower, a separate full bathtub, and toilet. There were again rose petals neatly positioned around the tub, very sweet! Bathroom amenities are by June Jacobs.
The separate living space was also sizable, with enough room to move around and leave our luggages just about anywhere. There was a small window by the couch that also overlooked the harbour. And here are the rest of our honeymoon goodies - a gorgeous spread of wine and cake! Hyatt Regency surely knows how to celebrate with a honeymoon couple.
Our favourite part of the suite is definitely the view. It's already a great deal to stay in a ridiculously massive suite, yet to have a jaw-dropping view at the same time makes the experience exceptional. After sunset we enjoyed watching the lights come to life in Hong Kong Island while dozens of ferryboats whizzed by the waters. And in the morning, this stunning view is just surreal. Although we weren't blessed with clear blue skies during our short weekend in Hong Kong, I'd say the view from up here is still ace.
Similar to Grand Hyatt Hong Kong where we previously stayed, Hyatt Regency also offers a smartphone service. It’s a mobile phone you can carry absolutely anywhere with you while out and about in Hong Kong. It has a free wi-fi access and you can also make international calls!
Other hotel amenities include a fitness centre and an outdoor heated swimming pool.
A personalised service
For both travelers and honeymooners, Hyatt Regency has the perfect location as home base to get around Hong Kong. During our stay we admired how the hotel staff attended to our requests; and knowledgable when asked for restaurant recommendations around the area. It was elating to stay in a hotel room that was tailored specific to our needs, a personalised service for a honeymoon couple.
Around Tsim Sha Tsui
As soon as you step out of Hyatt Regency along Hanoi Road, just across the street is Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station. There are a few restaurants and cafes along this road and if you walk around the area, you'll find more shops and boutiques. Just a few minutes walk and you’ll reach Nathan Road aka the Golden Mile and Kowloon Park.
